Institute of Modern Spanish
Institute of Modern Spanish: Spanish immersion school in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. Students are encouraged to write a BEFORE Blog and an AFTER Blog. These blogs describe their expectations & goals and then their evaluation and comments of Institute of Modern Spanish services. The Institute of Modern Spanish has served students of all ages and all ability levels from all parts of the world as individual students or in groups for over ten years. This Blog was started in October, 2006.

I will be travelling to Merida and studying at the Institute of Modern Spanish in November. I hope to improve my spoken fluency and see the Mayan ruins in the area. I also want to meet someone my age who I can have a meaningful conversation with IN SPANISH!
I studied at the Institute of Modern Spanish in January--I was VERY impressed with the number of out-of-class activities. I met a lot of people--locals through the conversation club--and was able to practice Spanish not only with the teachers and host families but also on excursions and in Institute of MOdern Spanish activitites.
GREAT EXPERIENCE!!
